Job Responsibilities
Develop relational database-driven applications using OOP methodologies and patterns; participate in the design of relational database schemas; implement object-relational mapping; track and resolve software bugs; develop and update GUI prototypes based on specifications and user testing; document system and technical specifications for end-users and technical staff; conduct user testing and training; test beta releases and coordinate deployment
Who We’re Looking For –
A self-starter who has a communication style that is clear, tactful and diplomatic; has excellent people skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as being productive independently. We’re looking for someone who has knowledge of object-oriented design and programming, including Java; understanding of relational database systems, database normalization and SQL; knowledge of web-technologies including HTML, CSS, DHTML and JavaScript (LAMP); a familiarity with Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture; understanding of object relational mapping using J2EE/EJB, Web Objects or similar technology desirable. You must be comfortable learning new programming languages and methods.
