WebObjects Training, Registration Now Open (Seattle September 8-12, 2008)

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Übermind will be holding it’s fall WebObjects Development course from September 8th  through 12th. This five-day course offers an intensive look into designing, building, and deploying Web applications using Apple’s WebObjects technology.

Based on over a decade of professional consulting on WebObjects projects—for clients as diverse as Apple, Disney, and the U.S. Postal Service—we have developed a curriculum that reflects a hands-on, real-world perspective to WebObjects development.

The course, which will be offered in Seattle, Washington, will run from September 8th - 12th. For specific course details and to register, refer to our training page.  As the class is limited to 10 students, early enrollment is highly recommended. There is some flexibility in the syllabus to tailor it more towards the needs of the class.

Class is open to all levels. Bring your laptop and be prepared to buckle down and write some code.

[Announce] JPBinding

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

JPBinding is a WebObjects framework which allows to build WebObjects Java Client (not D2JC) without the use of Interface Builder and nib files. With JPBinding framework instead of the nib file, one have to write a xml file which describes the  bindings between the view objects (buttons, tables, text fields, etc) and the model objects (EODisplayGroup, EOAssociation, etc.).

The bindings are provide in a descriptive way without programming. Such model objects are “automagically” generated in a clear way for the developer. JPBinding works under WO 5.3.3 and WO 5.4.

After that Apple has deprecated the Java Client Nib based applications, the developers need an alternative way to build WebObjects Java Client. The JPBinding framework is just a proposal to do this.

You can use JPBinding for free.
